We had a political thread on here a while back and things kind of got ugly with many people wanting the thread removed.
Would it be OK to post political threads here with the proper title? "OT- ********" or something of that nature? Therefore you would know prior to opening the thread what you were going to read about. Most forums have an "off topic" or "anything goes" area. The golden rule in them is don't be mean, hateful and rude to fellow members. OR do we just not want any ******** on IOW period? I figured out how to add a poll so lets see how we all feel. It is multiple choice too so vote for more than one if it is fitting for you. |

While the board was designed to center around racing... off-topic discussions will be allowed unless they fail to abide by the forum rules. It all makes for enjoyable reading just as long as it don't get out of hand.
Besides, most of us are going to post about racing anyway... whats wrong with an occasional off-topic post?? |

I vote that the guidelines should be exactly whatever Bill Gardner wants them to be. That said, I don't have a problem with whatever the powers that be decide. Being a Pepsi guy in a Coke world, a traditional sprint car guy in a predominately winged country, a Democrat (for the most part) in a state solidly red since the days of Honest Abe, and a handsome guy in an ugly Section ("A" :wink), I'm quite accustomed to being in the minority. :headbang All that just to say I really don't give a rat's patoot on this burning  issue.

I'll start a religious thread and see how that goes. ********, religion and racing. It seems to go together.

I read what I want and don't read what I am not interested in. The fact that I might not be interested in a particular post doesn't mean that someone else might not be. Doesn't matter as long as we keep it civil and have respect for each other.
