There are many issues that need addressed but one question I do have that I think the new head office needs to look at is

Why do National, Western States and Rocky Mountain Sprints have different rules?

I think it would help the National Series car counts and West Coast guys planning to move out east if there was one set of rules for Pavement Sprints under the USAC banner just like there is one set for the dirt sprints

I know why they started with different rules but what I do not know is why they still have different rules. Does anyone know the answer?

When Tommy Hunt put together the USAC western pavement only series several years back. I was working for an owner who chose to race in the series. I questioned then why USAC was instituting a 360ci engine rule when there were tons of perfectly good used 410's sitting around that could have made good sprint car engines. The shortcomings of the the 360's was shown at PPIR(remember that place?) - the 360's were gasping trying to keep up with the 410's. It made no sense to me then - and it makes no sense to me to this day.
