TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Duane “Pancho” Carter Jr., captured his second major victory Sunday afternoon at the Terre Haute Action Track when he won the Hut 100 for USAC midgets. Carter took the lead on lap 31 and held off veteran Bob Wente. Carter won the Hulman Classic in May.
A large crowd contributed to a $7,200 purse with Carter being paid about $1,300.
