Taylor Ferns and Jim Heeney started on the front row of the Spartan Speedway Wingless Sprint Car Season Championship feature Friday night and both became winners.

Ferns beat Tom Fedewa by about a foot coming out of turn four after racing side by side. Pretty good show on a cold very windy night. This series is gaining more interest and looks to be returning next year. They had 15 cars last night.

The track is a good equalizer and provides surprisingly good racing for wingless cars.

BTW Jim Heeney became track champion.
