There is a new book out about Nascar. Liz Clarke, wrote about Tim Richmond's trumped up drug charge! If anyone out there, that likes reading! Days of Thunder was about Richmond. :icon_smile_blackeye

I was a huge Richmond fan back in the day. It started with him running in the 500. On my wall here in my den I have a copy of the painting of him riding back to the pits sitting on JR's sidepod after he won. What NASCAR did to him was horrible. Had he lived I will guarantee Earnhardt would have a few less championships

There is a book on Tims life. It is a good read.

His dad basically invented the underground boring machine.

NASCAR may have been rough on him, but he, like most of us, was no saint and ultimately he played too close to the flame and got burnt.

I too wish that he would have lived and raced longer. He was exciting and he had a personality that was fun to see. As the book pointed out, he lived his life in a way and did things years before anyone else did.
