GREAT AMERICAN REPRESENTATIVES CONCLUDE BUSY WEEKEND

Anderson, IN - August 25, 2010 - Representatives of the newly created Great American Motorsport Exposition are fresh off a hectic weekend of promotion of their inaugural event.

Officials of the new exposition to debut Nov. 26-28, 2010 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds visited three speedways in two states with major announcements regarding their Trade Show - Fan Fest. - Auction at each stop.

Friday night August 20 started the weekend with a visit to Anderson Speedway for the USSA midget program. Thunder Roadsters and Kenyon midgets were also on the card." Don Kenyon, founder of the new USSA midget sanction, made a major announcement this week " explained show director David Sink. " He is taking some steps to get the cost of midget racing engines under control " continued Sink. " His plan could save teams up to 60% of what they are spending on engines currently. We wanted to come out and support his show as well as his future plans as he is a promotional partner of ours and will be participating in our exposition this fall " concluded Sink.

The next night officials found themselves in Slinger, WI for the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series event. Also on the card were Mini-Cups and the Front Wheel Drive cars. Show founder, Gary Schlafer, was on hand to present trophies on behalf of the Great American Motorsport Exposition. " We came to the event to support our friend Jim Hanks and the Must See series " explained Schlafer. " His MSRXSS will also be featured in our inaugural event this Thanksgiving weekend and we brought trophies for the top three as well as the new record holder " further explained Schlalfer. Schlafer is a former world record holder at an event held at the same track some 35 years earlier. Jeff Bloom toured the high-banked Slinger Super Speedway with a 9.908 second lap. " I'm honored the Great American Motorsport Exposition could be a part of such a historical event " concluded Schlafer.

The final leg of the weekend journey found officials at the Winchester Speedway for the Rich Vogler Memorial USAC Sprint Car race. Schlafer, along with Eleanor Vogler, were on hand to officially announce that the new expo will be holding a benefit auction for the Rich Vogler Memorial Scholarship Fund. " We definitely didn't want to miss this event " Schlafer stated. " We wanted to show our support for what Mrs. Vogler does as well as let everyone know they can be a part of this too, and help out a great cause by attending and bidding on some great items ". Schlafer, a licensed auctioneer, plans on calling the auction himself. " It was also good for us to support Winchester Speedway and the Champion Racing Association. RJ Scott and Glen Luckett do a spectacular job of promotion from what I see, and I'm looking forward to their involvement is our show also. They put on an excellent day of racing with three great features, honored a legendary driver in Rich Vogler, and allowed the Rich Vogler Memorial Scholarship Fund to have a voice today " concluded Schlafer.
