D.O, When I went to ILL sprintweek last year and only about 500 in the stands, I knew that Sprint Car racing hadn't taken hold in the area. Not saying the racers didn't like it or there weren't enough of them. VCS carried the highest average for most of the year in car count.
Its a shame too, good track that can put on some great racing.

It seems like VCS was working out pretty good until Spiker left for Putnamville. I'm sure it was a good decision for him personally, and I don't begrudge him for that. With VCS down and Jacksonville back to winged sprints, it doesn't leave us Land of Lincolnites many options. On the bright side we still have POWRi and two dirt miles for the SC.
For those about to rock, we salute you.

The new promoter didn't run sprints enough times to allow them to help him succeed. Quite a few sprinters and a decent crowd showed up for Illinois Sprint Week.
