This seems to be lost in the news of Track Enterprises taking over.

Quote:
The O'Connor family owns and promotes the Kokomo Speedway located in Kokomo, Indiana and has a long history in operating race tracks in Illinois and Indiana. The September 11th First Financial Bank Jim Hurtubise Classic will also be promoted by the Illinois based duo. The USAC Silver Crown Event held on Wednesday Night July 21st will be held under the banner of another promotional team, but the O'Connor family and Track Enterprises will be on the grounds to aid in prepping the track and in other areas as well.

3 stooges >Allison

I will say this, from what the track was back in 07 to now is a drastic change. Where Chris N. lacked in track prep, he was better at some things because he has access to equipment, quite a few improvements were made. Water no longer stands in the corners thanks to Chris N (he dug down about 20 feet and put big rocks in there to improve drainage.

I would like to thank Mike and the boys for all their efforts. Were there problems sometimes? Sure? Did anyone else step up? No. You did the best you could and thats all we can ask. Clearly, you did much better than the previous promoter. Thanks to Chris too for giving it his best shot. Thankless job, thats for sure.
