Greensburg and Brownstown On Tap This Weekend for UMRA
By Alex Wollf

A doubleheader weekend is next up for the 50th anniversary season of the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets.
Friday night will see the TQs at the Decatur County Fairgrounds in Greensburg for the first time in 2010. Last September when the UMRA was there Terry Goff captured one of his eight checkered flags in Greensburg. However, Friday night he will have to answer the tough challenge of veterans like Greensburg driver Ron Combs who has three wins in 2010, rising stars like Brandon Gray and Robbie Roland who are eager to break into the win column, and his own son Jason Goff who won this past Saturday night at the Montpelier Motor Speedway.
Saturday night will be the second trip of the season to the Brownstown Speedway. When the series hit the Jackson County quarter-mile on May 15 the big story was the comeback of Oogie Goff who won in his first start since leg injuries ended his 2009 season prematurely. The first race of the season at Brownstown was a very entertaining one and Saturday night should be no exception.
There will be a pair of contingency awards that the drivers will be going after on Friday and Saturday nights. $50 will go to the highest finishing rookie as a part of the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge.” There will also be five gallons of fuel on the line with the G&G Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” for the driver who advances the most positions in the feature event. Kids will also want get their parents to take them to the races with one lucky young fan each night winning a brand new kids bike.
Times are the same both Friday night at Greensburg and Saturday night at Brownstown. Gates open at three, practice is at 5:30, and racing is scheduled to begin at seven.

2 fun nights of racing, first Greensburg for an old time county fair race( I can taste that funnel cake!) then Brownstown where they run 3-4 wide all over the place. UMRA is putting on some GREAT racing this year.
