This helmet raffle is to raise funds for the Columbus Nationwide Children's Hospital. Tim Dick, driver of the #18B nonwing sprint car at Waynesfield Raceway Park, has a special tie to this hospital. His daughter, Ashley, has leukemia. Thankfully, she is in remission at this time but Tim and his family do something yearly to show their appreciation and thankfulness to the hospital. This year, thanks to Steve Thomas of Bell Helmets and Scott Stone of Starbox Displays, we are raffling off an authentic helmet and a specially designed case. The helmet has been signed by many of the stars of open wheel racing such as Tim, Matt Westfall, Bryan Clauson, Jerry Coons, Jr., Dave Darland, Damion Gardner, Brad Kuhn, Shane Hmiel, Ricky Williams Jr., Tracy Hines and Levi Jones. Pictures are attached.

The helmet will be on display at Waynesfield this Saturday night. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. The raffle will be held on August 14, 2010 (rain date of August 28, 2010) at Waynesfield. The winner need not be present to win.

Tickets will be available at Ricky Williams trailer during Indiana Sprint Week. If I am not there, please ask for Laura and she will be glad to assist you. I plan on attending Lawrenceburg, Gas City and Kokomo.

I will be at Waynesfield tonight with the helmet and case on display. I'm not exactly sure where we will be set up but I shouldn't be too hard to find. Raffle tickets will also be available at Tim's hauler in the pit area.
