It's Cherry Speedway. The address is actually Fife Lake. It's a 1/3rd mile. Usually very dry...and they race late models there. SOD goes there but only once I think. It's located right on hwy 113.

You may also be thinking of Crystal Speedway, south of Traverse City. They do race sprints on occaision although its been many years since I was there.

I was at the Fife Lake track many years ago. It was then pretty primitive. IIRC there was a runoff pond in the infield similar to Paragon.
The racing consisted of "run what you brung". Lots of what we know as bombers but one guy ran an OLD sprint car. The bombers out ran him. ![]() |

Sat Merritt Speedway over between Rogers City & Houghton Lake off M55 is nice too, both dirt. Cherry I was told has 2 to 3 grooves of racing now. ![]() |
