CONE & WEYANT TAKE ASCT WINS IN ILLINOIS

Hud Cone out of Oakland City Indiana driving the Cone/Corry racing #14c got his second Win in a row by taking the 25 Lap A-Main at the Clay Co. Speedway in Flora Illinois on Saturday night. He started on the pole and led every lap in the Feature event that went non-stop for the second race in a row.


Korey Weyant got the jump from his front row starting spot and led every lap en route to his first American Sprint Car Tour Win at the Fayette Co. Speedway in Brownstown Illinois on Sunday night. Weyant Won “The Battle at Brownstown” driving the Jim Mahan #7x Sprinter. Danny Williams Jr. driving the Bryan Robinson owned #57R challenged for the lead several times but had to settle for 3rd in the end. Williams did earn his first Earl’s Indy “Tough as Steel” Award for his efforts and the $100 Bonus that goes with it. Alex Shanks took the Indy Race Parts “Hard Charger” Award.

The Points Battle is still close heading into another doubleheader weekend of racing. Blake Nimee leads 2nd place Aric Gentry by 4 points and 3rd place J.T. Stapp by 12.

Racing resumes this Friday night June 4th at the slightly - banked ¼ mile clay oval of the Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier Indiana. This will be “The Open Wheel Extravaganza” with the ASCT Sprint Cars, the AMCT Full Midgets, and the UMP Modifieds.

On Saturday night the ASCT will invade the ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval of the Shady Hill Speedway in Medaryville Indiana.
