Ford finally decided to kill it off, another old time American car brand gone.......

Guess you won't be able to buy yourself a mercury and cruise it up and down the road much longer.......

What will they drive in West Roxbury?

West Roxbury is the Southernmost part of Boston. It is much like a suburb, with individual houses on individual lots. Because many city employees (esp cops & firemen) are required to live in the city, it is full of them. And, they stay there when they retire. For some reason, the retired folk love Grand Marquis. A few years ago, I drove through West Roxbury almost daily, and couldn't believe how many of them I encountered. Every one was driven by a guy who looked older than dirt. Whatever will they do? :-)

I''m a used car dealer and basically every Mercury is just a rebadged Ford product, the grand marquis is a crown victoria and so on. At least Lincoln has a few models of their own, and Mercury's don't seem to sell as well as the same model in a Ford. It's a shame they didn't keep it as a seperate identity with it's own cars....
