If no one else is going to mention it...I will. Excellent race....extremely full seating area and most fans didn't sit down until lap 37. Exciting battle for the lead as well as great racing throughout the pack.

I realize that there aren't any midgets left racing....still somehow 40 plus managed to enter the event.

Swanson and the DMS crew should be very proud.

I agree. I had a blast at my first night before the 500. Also, my niece got to see her teacher race which was cool.

I totally agree!!! I thought the race was awesome from beginning to end. The crowd was awesome and into the race. Where I was sitting, I mean standing, everyone was into it. The entire program was nicely ran. I also believe that the people that came to see the novice Indy cars were surprised how the midgets put on a show.

From heat races to semi feature to feature it was great racing, and the car count was good. I am glad that the midgets live on pavement!!!

I am guessing that the teach was Martz?

AWESOME DEAL!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think it is Martz. Tate right? They live in Rushville but I live in Terre Haute so I'm not real familiar with him.

Tates Marts is his name he runs mostly tqs and midgets, one of the best up and coming drivers. Tony Stewart used to drive for his Dads team, when Tates was a youngster.

Ok cool. I wonder how aggressively he will pursue his racing career with having a teaching career? I know my nieces and nephew really like him as a teacher.

Tate is a good guy. I spotted for him one year at the Little 500. The Night Before is a race I'd go see but it runs against the Little 5.

Really excited to hear of the good car count and good front gate! Excellent for all involved!

One of the best up and coming drivers may be giving me a bit too much credit although I appreciate the kind words Chris.

I will say that my dad and I had a blast Saturday and want to thank Gregg Steele, Duane and Sonja Alexander, and Tony Stewart Racing for making it possible. It was a dream come true for me with my first laps coming at ORP on Saturday, I can't wait to get another shot there and get more competitive.

I am pretty sure I know who your niece and nephew are JSBH03. Tyler told me he was there, which was really cool. He comes in almost every Monday talking about a midget or sprint car race he went to over the weekend. He always asks if Ive ever ran the Action Track.

I also want to give a shout out to my buddy Adam Kramer and his dad Chris. They had a top 5 run going until the last 15 laps Saturday night. Although I hated having to watch it was really fun to watch him charge to the front.

We will run the MTQRL TQ series, the Wednesday night Speedrome Series and some of the USSA midgets as well as a handful of national races.

Again thanks for the mention and congrats to Tanner Swanson, pretty unbelievable to think someone can win there first time at such a tough place.

it was a great night at raceway park. a full midget program. last few years they have got back to mostly to a midget show instead of running 4 or 5 classes. and they usually get you out of there by 11.

I too think Kramer did a good job. I think maybe he was running the bottom so hard out of 4 that his tires went away. I am guessing, I was just a fan in the stands.

Already can't wait until the next ORP midget race, and I will also follow the regional pavement events. Keep them coming! Its cool when you have to race your way into the A main!!!
