ASCT READY FOR BIG DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND IN ILLINOIS


The American Sprint Car Tour is looking forward to a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend of racing in Illinois. It all starts this Saturday night, May 29th at the 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Clay County Speedway in Flora Illinois. The 25 Lap A-Main will pay $1200 to Win and $200 just to start. $100 is guaranteed to anyone not starting the feature event.

The Memorial Day Weekend of remembrance commences Sunday night, May 30th at the 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval of the Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown Illinois for the “BATTLE AT BROWNSTOWN.” The American Sprint Car Tour visited the facility just 2 weeks ago and is looking to put on one heck of a show this weekend. The Sprint Car Dash will be sponsored by Grease Monkey of Terre Haute and the Winner will receive a FREE barrel of VP Racing Methanol!! The 25 Lap A-Main will pay $1500 to Win and $225 just to start. $100 tow money is still guaranteed to anyone not starting the feature field.

Is the Flora admission price correct? $20?? For a traditionally dusty track with a sanctioning body that hasn't started more than 16 cars in an A main. Flora is the closest track to my house, so I was thinking of going, but if it is $20, that is too much.
