What is going on with the track? Did Jim Mills lose interest, did he sell it or is there another reason they aren't running.

I was told by someone that works there that Jim told him that he isn't opening this year because he is suppose to have back surgery and he wants to have more construction done before he opens.....SO, who knows..........Then another rumor that has been going around is that Sumner modified racer Randy Dowty is suppose to run the track.GO FIGURE

That's ashame Jim Mills has more money than God and a good racetrack sits idel. That place would be ideal for special shows USAC, Outlaws, All-Stars, good paying non sanctioned events. I've been there three times and the best I can remember the crowds have been pretty good. Somebody posted something on here about an Illinois speed week, I think that's a great idea. With the right people in charge I think it could be a good thing.

It really is a waste. That is one beautiful little bullring sitting there. A perfect complement to Haubstadt for Evansville area racers. A perfect place for a sprint car show the Saturday before Duquoin. It could, along with Haubstadt, serve as kind of a home base for MSCS racers. And it just sits there year after year.:headbang Note to Jim Mills - If you can't run it then get somebody to run it for you. I volunteer. Shoot me a PM.
