the crew is getting on top of the heating and oil presure and we will see next time out.
But the loose nut behind the wheel cant be cured I am afraid, we just have to put up with it and do the best we can.
Feedback from the driver is yes Don has built a nice handling car
But need the history please any help ??

The McKnight and sons Edmunds that Danny campaigned in so cal in 1971 was Chevy 2 powered. In 72 Danny drove for Len Faas jr., and his brother Tommy used a couple of different drivers over the next few years. I have a picture of it from 1974 with Billy Felts driving that I will try to find and post later. I thought the car was sold and converted to a VW in the late 70's but I could be mistaken.

Any information is great
we have the history at the start but it fades away straight after around 71 , 72 , 73 and next we know it turns up in 2009 with a Mitsubishi engine in it
What hapened in between???
Your correct Danny did drive for the Faas team in the King-O-Lawn Offy
Maybe his brother took this car and ran it any ideas??
Would any of the McKnight be contactable??
(brothers , uncles,nephew,neice, neighbours??)
Any info appreciated

Roy Cook Jr.and Billy Felts are the two drivers I can remember for sure that Tommy McKnight had drive the car. I believe it was bought and converted to a VW by Bobby White and Bobby actually hired Danny to drive it for him. I'll have one of my kids help me scan and post a photo later. Last I had heard Danny still owned and operated a towing company. I can try and get a hold of Bobby White and find out if it was the McKnight car he bought and who he sold it to.

The first picture shows Billy Felts driving the McKnight 84 at El Toro Speedway in 1974. The second photo is the Bobby White 84 at Ascot on the 1/4 mile in 1979 with Danny McKnight driving.
