There was a young racer named Hockett
Who raced fast like a rocket
Isn't it a pity?
He came to Twin Cities
And left with 4K's in his pocket

Danny, you've penned (or should I say typed) some good ones, but this just may have been your best.

This sad tale of woa is not too merry.
It's about a famous speedway manager named Larry.
His track was about to host a big USAC race.
All the fans were anxious to pay their way into the place.
Did they get to see some great racing for paying their toll?
Nope! Only got to see a renactment of the great dust bowl.
Poor 'ole Larry said "You know, I'm not to blame."
"I watched Earl prep the track and I do it just the same."
So now it's on to the 'Burg, Bloomington and Gas City.
The tracks may not be perfect, but at least the don't treat you........poorly.

You're a poet and don't know it.
But your feet show it...they're Longfellows.

Ouch. Just for that, you are hereby sentenced to a season of sitting in Section A at the 'burg, listening to Marv Fish stories and Dave Rudisell's bad jokes.
