VP Racing Fuels has signed on as the new series title sponsor of the American Sprint Car Tour in 2010. The newly formed non-winged sprint car series is excited to have VP Racing Fuels partnering with the American Racer Tire Company for this inaugural season of competition. Mr. John Gurley the President and C.E.O of both the American Sprint Car Tour or A.S.C.T as it’s come to be known and the most recent addition the American Midget Car Tour or A.M.C.T had this to say about VP’s decision to join their group. “We feel that having a company like VP and American Racer Tire will add so much credence to our series and this being our opening year we need all the help that we can get. VP and the American Racer Tire have such a huge presence in the racing community and for either one of them to even consider us was an honor to be sure and now that both are with us we can get down to the business at hand and go racing”.

As of 3/25/10 the American Sprint Car Tour has 21 races scheduled and are still looking at 4 to 7 more to be added in the next several days. The biggest news of late is the creation of the American Midget Car Tour. Since the announcement of the new A.M.C.T series it has definitely been the buzz in the racing community for the past several weeks. As of 3/25/10 the Midgets will be competing at 4 of the A.S.C.T shows and Mr. Gurley said that he would like to see 6 to 8 Midget shows this year and that they are working hard to meet that goal.

After looking at the list of great sponsors that have signed on with the series and then a quick glance at the schedule and after I checked out the purse break downs I have come to the conclusion that the 2010 American Sprint Car Tour and the American Midget Car Tour’s season is going to force a lot of racers into making some hard decisions on what they are going do in regards to their racing plans for this upcoming season.

Will there be a discount on VP fuel for members? Also, If I plan on running in the midget series do i need to get a membership?

There will be a discount to ALL A.S.C.T and A.M.C.T members. There will be a $25 one time registration fee per car for the midget teams. This money goes to the trophies that are awarded per night. We are currently looking at 8 to 10 Midget shows and should have the midget schedule put together by the end of this week. The trophies will go to the Hard Charger,Dash Winner and the Feature Winner.
