My husband and I have a sprint car and are looking to possibly run a series. We're not sure what we want to do yet, but are looking at running with the American Sprint Car Tour. I was wondering if the series is going to consider running open motors with a weight rule?

First off I want to thank you for your interest in our series. We have no plans to open up the engine rule in 2010. I realize this is a deal breaker for a lot teams in Indiana but I stand by our members vote to stay a steel block only series this year. I do get emails and calls from car owners and drivers every day that would love to run with us but can't do to our engine rule. All I can say is that our purses are strong and we want to invite you and every one else who has a steel block engine to join us in 2010. Some would say that the down side to our series is the travelling and maybe for some this is an inconvenience and I do understand the problem. We just can't seem to get tracks in our home state interested in us for one reason or another. What this means is we have to go out of state to book our shows. Now that being said we have had a great response to our format from promoters outside the Indiana borders. We are working on 5 to 7 races that are going to pay 1500 to 2k to win and 250 to 300 to start. So we are trying to make it worth teams time to travel with us. Please feel free to call me at any time at 812-420-1973. You can also check our web site at www.americansprintcartour. Thank you John Gurley
