If all goes well, I will be in the SF Bay Area at the end of Feb. I should be able to get to the LV & Perris shows. I assume the best thing is to fly to LA & drive to LV for the Thu show. Are there still shuttle flights between LA & SF? That is, flights that don't require a reservation and are inexpensive.
Any travel advice will be welcome. Alternatively, if anyone needs a driving partner, I could be talked into that. |

Dick,
There should be a multitude of flights between LA and SF. I used to fly that frequently but not so much recently. Your best bet is to use Expedia or Cheap Tickets.com or Priceline when you know you are going. They will post all the times and least expensive flights and allow you to purchase even same day. The drive from LA to LV is nice. I would recommend that. However there are many flights between those cities as well. Those Hollywood Millionaires need to spend their $$... Cheers, Pete G. |

I'm debating on Las Vegas. Still planning on Perris though.
Remind me to bring my camera to the Justice Brothers Museum. Speaking of Museums, (Speedway Motors)if you havent told Nanci to get you the Speedy Bill book for Christmas,I'd recommend you do. |

I would recommend that you fly into Ontario (from the Bay Area) rather than LAX. Ontario is a shorter drive to Las Vegas and could save you as much as an hour or more (depending on traffic and time of day) in driving time. Also, as you may know, Ontario is not that far from the PAS and is truly a modern airport. Lots of flights between the Bay Area and Ontario.

I am thinking about flying to the west coast and drive to LV and then go to Perris. I looked at flights to Ontario and they were 3 times higher than LAX from Dayton. Is LAX the way to go or is there other Airports?
Quin let me know what you going to do. Might hook up with you at some point. Mark Fritz |

When I flew out for the Oval Nats I flew into Orange County (SNA) as it was cheaper than flying into Ontario.
I'll have to look at flights again, Mark to see whats out there for Vegas-Perris etc.

When I lived and worked in NCAL. I had to fly to LA quite frequently; while it was over 8 years ago, Southwest had the best fares and flew to all of the LA area airports(LAX, Burbank, Ontario, Long Beach, and Orange County). So depending on where you're going, you've got a lot of options.
And I'm sure, as CGR says, that using Priceline, Expedia, or other web search travel companies will also be a help to you... |
