Richard Layne in just his 6th time in the car wins the 1200 lighting sprint A-main at the Kemper Ring. Taking the lead on lap #6 Richard worked lap traffic and yellow flages to capture the win.

Bud Lee from Salina Ks. took the lead early on and fought off several challenges. "I had to run over 3 race cars to win but I did and I am happy with the win, the worst part is they are friends of mine." Bud
