smokey's side car

and before that there was this thing by Smokey, the wheels/tires would lean to the left in the corners like a motorcycle taking a turn, was so evil they converted it to a regular set-up

In 1946 Kent, Ohio car owner Lou Fageol entered a car that had two 91 C.I. Offenhauser engines. One was mounted in front of the driver and the other behind the driver. Paul Russo qualified the thing second quick and lasted 17 laps before he stuck it in the turn 3 wall. He was credited with a 33rd place finish and collected $650.00. Fageol called his car the 'Twin Coach Special' . He manufactured buses called Twin Coach at his Kent, Ohio factory.

There are some good shots of this car at the website below. It was a strange looking thing...from any angle.
