If it's the car I'm thinking of, it was a Kurtis roadster built for John Chalik ( Chalik Rubber Products ) out of northern Indiana and was driven by Junior Johnson. Think it was about 1962 or 63.

I think the car still exsists but not sure who has it.

Didn't Agajanian have a caged rear engine car also? Think it was built by Don Edmunds

Bruce Walkup drove one at Indy in 1970, though it looks pretty pointless because Walkup's head is sticking out of the top of the roll cage.

Aggie's car was a Laycock Mongoose built in Danville, In. that Aggie's guys cobbled a cage on to when they rebuilt it.

Aggie had two caged cars in 1970. The #97 Agajanian ride that Walkup made the show was the Mongoose. The #98 Agajanian ride was an Edmunds built car built brand new for Billy Vukovich to drive. I think it was called a Wolverine. Vuky could not figure out the car and ended up bolting to the Sugaripe Prune team. The car had a number of other drivers in both 1970 and 1971 but nobody came close to getting the car to run competitively.

Thanks Duke.

I should have known, McConnell must own half of the roadsters ever built.

Here is the car, Mr. sc96 is looking for, at the '09 Darlington vintage meet.
Owner, BobMcConnell, in red suit along with J. Rutherford and Jr. Johnson.
This was the last car that Kurtis ever built.
