Thought some of you guys might be interested in this.
Losi Mini-Sliders Ready for Chili Bowl Celebrity Race The 22nd Annual Dodge Chili Bowl Midget Nationals will take place January 8-12 on the famed 1/4 mile oval inside the QuikTrip Center in Tulsa, OK. This annual winter speedfest will see over 300 of the best Midget, Sprint, Late Model, NASCAR, and NHRA drivers from across the country compete for the coveted Golden Driller Trophy. More than 20,000 fans are expected to invade the city of Tulsa for this event. For the first time ever, Radio Control (R/C) racing will be a part of the Chili Bowl festivities in the adjacent Mustang arena. The NSCS dirt oval racing organization will be hosting more than 200 Nitro and Electric racers for three days of R/C dirt oval competition. Losi team members will be on hand to participate in the trade show and display their extensive product line which includes the enormously popular 1/18 scale Ready-to-Run Mini-Slider Sprint Cars. In addition at 2:30pm on January 9, 10 and 11th six celebrity drivers will compete using factory-prepared Losi Sliders. Early commitments to the driver roster include 2005 Chili Bowl champion and Tony Stewart Motorsports driver Tracy Hines of New Castle, IN, 2000 and 2004 Chili Bowl champion Cory Kruseman from Ventura, CA, NHRA Top Fuel and Oakley funny car pilot Gary Selzi from Fresno, CA, 2006 USAC National midget champion Jerry Coons, Jr. of Brownsburg, IN and USAC sprint and midget ace Matt Westfall from Ludlow Falls, OH. |

As a former R/C guy myself....this is great for the sport! Anyone that has never watched an R/C race, I think you'll be surprised in what you see. It's a fun sport, but be warned....you can get a LOT of money wrapped up into these machines! LOL
