A freind of ours and many of yours has been sick and in the hospital for awhile now, Jan may be coming home Wednesday and could use a pick me up from her friends, if you have time drop her a card or a letter at Jan Breadlove 1609 Augusta Ct. Kokomo IN. 46902 As some of you may know Jan and her husband Dick have been involved with Sprint Car Racing for many years as fans and members (officers) of H.A.R.F. Please take a min. and let her know we care. :respect:

Thank you.

Dick also deserves a pat on the back as he has spent a lot of time by Jans side sleeping in a chair at the hospital.

Some of you may remember Jan at the ticket window on the backstreach at Kokomo when Kent Evans had the Kokomo Speedway.

Just to give everyone an update......Jan is my aunt and my family and I could only pray that she will be able to come home Wednesday. She has been in the hospital since Christmas day. She had a large mass of infection on her colon/intestinal area. They say it was about the size of a grapefruit. She has tried to battle it with antibiotics for quite some time now. She couldn't take the severe pain any longer so they admitted her. She had surgery last week and is now on the road to recovery. She has been so sick and hasn't ate much for a month or so. Today she started back on "regular" food. I bet she has lost 60+ pounds. She has to regain her strength and might be able to come home Friday, which is what she is hoping for......I can guarantee she will have enough energy for a Shane,Shane,Shane cheer come Saturday!

Thanks to all who have sent cards, stopped by the hopital, and remembered my family in your prayers

I use to live next to Dick and Jan. Great people. I know she has been sick. Hopefully she got to go home today. Talked to Dick just before christmas and she wasnt feeling well then. We are interested in hearing. Hopefully shanes run last night gave her some incentive to go home so she can watch the chilli bowl at home on Sat. Get well Jan.

I talked to Dick this evening. Sounds like Jan is doing alot better. Said she is up on her feet walking about. He said she will likely get to go home some time next week. I know she will be pulling for the throttle on Sat.

Friday January 18

I'm finally home!!!
Thanks for all the cards, phone calls, and visits while I was in the hospital. All your prayers and thoughts meant a lot to me. I've still got a long way to go. A lot of rehab. Thanks to all of my family for all the time spent with me in the hospital. I'm looking forward getting back to normal as much as I can. My love to everyone.
Jan Breedlove.
