I am starting to see some headers on sprints and modifieds that are not painted and not chrome, but are shiny metallic finished. Is this stainless steel or something else? I don't recall seeing any ads selling these. Is there a performance advantage or is this just cosmetic?

If you need some coating work done, I would'nt think twice about who to call. "Nitroplate" does work that is second to none and the folks there are great to work with. Call and ask for Chris at 615-826-4914 or check out their website for more info.

Pro-Kote in Indy does some really nice work, they call their header finish Cermakrome, the last set I had done was around $200.00 www.prokoteindy.com Nitroplate also does really nice work.
