Hello IOW racing friends,

I started this auto racing blog a while ago - just a little something different. Some old and some new racing photos and info. I have been a little lax in adding anything recently. Some have told me it downloads slowly, so I will have to work on some other format this winter. But, if you can get it to download and you want to go back in racing time a little, check it out.

NOTE: I made a very serious error when I was labeling my photos, and it was pointed out to me. I have a photo of the #14 sprint car labeled as being driven by Rollie Beale. Correction - # 14 Benny Rapp.

Thanks for the memories. Great piece on arnie knepper. I knew arnie very well. He was quite a guy. Grew up at bellclair in the 50's with dandy don klein, ray eby and kenny shrum. All great guys. Klein is still going...

Midwest, some great pics there from the Knepper weekend. Am searching for pics of Bennie Rapp and cannot find the one that you refer to as being mislabelled. Is it still there??

Yes it is, and thank you for bringing that to my attention. I was informed about this once before by an IOW reader, but I forgot to delete it from my blog. I apologize for my ignorance. The photo I mislabeled is below.

Hello Jim,

This was one of many photos, that was sent to me by a friend of mine from Michigan. From a reunion at Spartan Speedway, Michigan I do believe. After looking at the photos they all are 21___7'06. So I interpret this to be 21 July 2006. I have never seen the restored #14 in person, but sure hope to someday.
