Jessica Zemken Announces Marketing Partnership with Corr/Pak Merchandising

“Racing for Rutz” Lap Donation also established for Super DIRT Week

Rich Vleck, SYRACUSE, NY (October 6, 2009)- With one of the biggest racing weekends of the year this week, Jessica Zemken heads in to Super DIRT Week XXXVIII ready to compete in three different divisions at three Central New York tracks with one new sponsor that will not only benefit Zemken, but a fellow competitor in need.

Corr/Pak Merchandising Inc., of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, has partnered with Jessica Zemken to sponsor her racing efforts throughout the remainder of 2009 along with the entire 2010 season. This is big news for “JZ”, who is elated to have such great support heading forward.

“John and Wendy (Brush, Owners of Corr/Pak) are really positive people, which is great to be around,” noted Zemken. “I’ve only been with them for a little while but they’ve really put a positive perk in the rest of the season.”

While in competition with the World of Outlaws at Ohsweken Speedway in July, where Corr/Pak has been and will continue to be a major supporter of sprint car action, Jessica had really hit a low point in the season. After a solid effort on the first night with a shoestring operation, things began to turn around, thanks in large part to the Corr/Pak group.

“I’m really excited for next year and can’t wait to get things going with that,” noted Jessica, who has yet to finalize her 2010 plans but anticipates an exciting season.

Before next year gets going though, she has a lot on her plate this weekend in Syracuse. Not only will she be racing for herself though, she will also be turning laps for Travis Rutz.

Corr/Pak will donate $10 for each lap “JZ” turns in competition during this weekend to help out Travis Rutz, of Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Travis was severely injured two weeks ago while in competition at Terre Haute, IN on his way home from the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals where he competed with Jessica.

“I really feel for Travis in this situation. I only met him briefly but he’s a young driver, like myself, who has been able to travel around, probably even more than I have,” said Jessica. “His injury was very unfortunate and it could have been any one of us out there. If I were in that position I know I would appreciate any support so hopefully with the support of Corr/Pak this week we can help him on his road to recovery.”

If Jessica can run each feature lap posted, she will make 200 laps, which will result in a $2,000 donation by Corr/Pak to benefit Travis.

Jessica will start her wild week of racing Thursday Afternoon at the New York State Fairgrounds in preparation for Saturday’s 150-Mile Event. As she did earlier this season at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY, “JZ” will pilot the Wes Moody Owned No. 24z 358-modified. This will be a different go-around in Patrick DuPree’s potent backup though, as she will take it around the speed plant known as “The Moody Mile”, named for her car owner.

“I’m looking forward to getting back on the Mile,” noted Zemken, who made history in Syracuse being the first female to qualify for the Rite Aid 200. “I haven’t been there in a few years but we have a good team, a good teammate and a lot of people supporting it.”

Jessica will be on the Mile Thursday, Friday and Saturday Afternoon; when the sun goes down though she will jump into her sprint cars and attack the night.

On Friday Night, she will return to the Cayuga County Fair Speedway behind the wheel of her Corr/Pak Merchandising No. 1z 360 sprint car. Jessica had to miss the only other sprint car race at CCFS back in July but since then has teamed with Carl Schultz to create a potent combination. After strong performances at Black Rock, Drummond, Utica-Rome, Ohsweken and Fonda she is ready to go after the $3,000 top prize at the tight Weedsport Oval. She has only ran her sprint car at CCFS once, finishing 13th in 2007.

On Saturday Night, it is off to Rolling Wheels Raceway to compete with the World of Outlaws. The fast 5/8-mile facility was the site of Jessica’s first top-five finish in a sprint car back in 2005. This time around, she will drive the Tom Leidig Owned No. 59 410 sprint car from Ohio. Veteran Crew Chief Mike Woodring will be preparing the car as she goes for her third top-10 with the Outlaws this season.

“It’s going to be a busy week but I get to run a 360 and a 410 and in the end it can’t get much better than that!”

After Super DIRT Week is completed, the 2009 racing season will not be done. In three weeks, Zemken will be heading down to the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas to compete in the $15,000-to-win Short Track Nationals. She will pilot the Ron Hammonds No. 6z, the car she drove to an eighth place finish at Eldora Speedway this past weekend. Corr/Pak will once again be supporting her efforts in this event along with other races not yet finalized.

Corr/Pak Merchandising Inc. is located just outside of Toronto in Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada. They have supported racing at Ohsweken Speedway, Oswego Speedway and on the ISMA Tour and will continued to do so in 2010. Since 1997, Corr/Pak has been a leading designer and producer for Point of Purchase displays in the retail industry. For more information, visit www.CorrPak.com.

Jessica will also recieve support this weekend from Jeff Taber 24 HR Road Service and William Fuller Masonary Contracting. What lies ahead for Jessica Zemken will be announced in the weeks to come. For more information, visit www.Jessica-Zemken.com.
