Guitar legend and personal hero of mine, Les Paul passed away today at 94 years of age. If you appreciate music in general and electric guitar in particular, you know his contribution was immeasureable. R.I.P. Paul.

One of my pickin hero's too, I owned one of only six built, of his 1958 Les Paul Model guitars, only six were painted in this color, and they all went to a music store in Columbus, In. "Luckily" I sold it, in about 1962, to further my engine swap, Chevy/Healey. Just about like selling my 1963 Fastback Corvette, because the Insurance went up on it. Bob

What a sad day this is. I not only like what he did for rock and roll but I'm proud to say I liked the Les Paul and Mary Ford songs too.

Rest in peace, Lester.

I was going to see him again when we were last in NYC two months ago, and something else came up, so I didn't make it. Damn.

I'm willing to forgive him the rock & roll, because he was one of the great jazz players. That's what he played at the Iridium every Monday night for the last lebenty-leben years (and before that, at Fat Tuesday's).

I'd like to live to be 94, doin' my thing right up to the last few days. We should all be so lucky.

Les was one of my alltime favorites. I still have some of his old records.

I remember Les Paul & Mary Ford from the fifties and their recordings of "Mockingbird Hill", "The World is waiting for the Sunrise" and many more. RIP, Les

The Les Paul Custom, What a great guitar, I am proud to say that I own two of them one a Vintage 50s Les Paul JR. and a Custom Shop Model, Les Paul Custom similar to the one that Kyle Busch smashed in Victory lane earlier in the year.

RIP Les.
