The 10 car that flipped was Mark Auler. He was sent to Methodist after CT scan shows 2 fractures in number 2 vertibrae and a slipped disc between 2 and 3. We are awaiting his MRI to verify the damage. He is able to walk and is very alert but understandably have him morphined up and resting. If there is any more news I will keep you updated.

That was a horrible looking flip! I wasn't going to comment on this one, but after seeing what the injuries to Mr. Auler are, I can't help myself. Don't get me wrong, I think that Mr. Spiker is doing a wonderful job at LPS, but he needs to have the rescue team better trained on how to handle situations like this one. From those of us sitting on the hill, there was a huge gasp when they turned the car back over on it's wheels and dropped it to the ground...and not easily...you could see his head bang around when they let it go. Now, I am no doctor, but with an accident like that, the possibility of a neck or back injury was really strong, and common sense would tell you that knocking them around a little more would not be a good thing. Once again, this is not a post to slam LPS, enjoyed everything else last night, the lighting issues were not Mr. Spiker's doing, and he did the best he could to get them fixed, but knowledge of how to handle the situation they were faced with last night with Mr. Auler is something you have to be able to handle...it could cost someone permenant injury or even their life.

Congrats to Brian on the win, it was nice to see a guy win it running the bottom like you could in the old days.

Just watched the video. Good mod feature, good hihg-low battle between Hayden and Baumgardner(hopefully I spelled this correctly). Cushion was brutal as Barrow found out, he hit it hard off of 2. Glad to hear Mark is doing ok after the flip. They could have let the car down just alittle easier IMO. If the rest of the racing was that good, the fans seen some good racing.
