Can someone explain the extra $5 to get in the pits at Terre Haute tonight? Pay to park, and then pay more at the pit gate? Does that mean that the sprint week tracks can set their own pit prices? and if so, why wouldnt USAC step up and look out for their competitors and not allow it to happen? I asked at the pit gate but wasnt given a answer so... just curious.

Paying to park is not the track thing....I warned everyone and so did many others that they charge to park (they as the fair board), during the fair. I made a thread a couple weeks ago (which people probably didn't read), that said if you arrive after 4pm, you will be charged for parking. This is the same policy the fair board has had during fair time every year for as long as I can remember.

As for the pit pass prices. I don't know any of that side of the business. I just go early and help out where they need me.

Speaking of the Fair board What was the deal with the people on the Big Golf Cart That came down the Pit Shoot during Time Trials and set at the entrance to the track while a car was being pushed off then at the last minute the Dumb a-- on the Golf Cart went acrossed the track he had no clue as to what was going on I was told he was a Fair Board member and thinks he can do what ever they need to keep him away from now on

If in fact that was a fair board member another stunt like that the fair board might be looking for a replacement The pitpasses this year @ THAT have been higher than everyone else. Maybe Chris Nunn can shed some light on this, oh he is probably recooperating from his "sprint" around that track last night not

Another promoter/org charging $$$$$$$$$$$$$ the entertainers. This practice has to stop. Many of the entertainers ( car owners/drivers) leave the track with less money than the track workers/water truck guy. Duh. What's wrong with that picture???? Do you race fans go to the track to see the water truck guy or the drivers/cars???

I could be wrong, but this subject was covered about 4,352 times before.

You are correct. And it needs to be covered another 4352 times OR MORE until we get rid of this wh^&ring practice.

Let's take this idea one step farther. How 'bout if the promoters start charging you a $10 "parking fee" to enter and dump ur load in the restroom?

I wear Depends, so I wouldn't need to worry about it.

Don, I pay money to lots of people and it seems absolutely ridiculous to me. But it's all part of doing business, regardless of the business we are talking about. Unless you can amass an owner's boycott, it's going to be the same.

Just read on the internet, that last year, the FCC told the radio and TV stations, to remove the word "flurries" from their reports, this year, they added another word, "midget"! Altho I fail to see the connection, I also understand where it came from. HELP!
