You know Im all for peoples rights. Im glad that in this country you can own animals if you want. I choose not to which is my right, I had them as a kid but as an adult I dont have the time and energy the take care of them and clean up after them. But people taking their dogs with them every were they go is getting out of hand. You know its really enjoyable to drive home a hour and a half smelling dog s__t the whole way then have to clean dog s__t out of your car when you get home especially when you dont even own any animals. If you have to take your dog to the track have the common decency not to let your dog s__t were people will be walking after the races Its hard to see at midnight. Just over the last two months I have seen people with dogs in Big Foot, the Dollar store, and the grocery store, and when some one tells them they cant have dogs in these places they get mad. The stupid woman at the grocery store was all pissy when a woman who worked there asked her if she would take her dog out of the shopping cart she said this a grocery store and people put there food in the carts, What the h_ll is wrong with people. Just like people have the right to own animals I think I should have the right to drive home from the races without smelling their dogs s__t the whole way and have to clean up after their dogs s__t. Honestly do you really need to take your animals every where you go.

I completely agree. I like dogs, don't get me wrong, but there comes a time when people need to realize pets stay home. How many times have we seen people driving down the road with dogs, cats, and even birds riding in their laps or on their shoulders.

The saddest thing is people have to be told to how to live responsibly, they can't figure it out on their own.

Pizzaman, your point is taken; however not all animal lovers are unresponsible. An if you are traveling with a pet in a hot climate taking them into a store isn't just a fun thing to do. It is to save your animals life. Have you never heard of little babys being left in the car and dying from the heat, it doesn't take very long for a child or an animal to suffer from heat exhaustion if left in a hot car. Children being left alone in hot cars and children drowning are two of the hardest news stories I had to learn to deal with when I became an Arizona resident, these tragic deaths happen way too often. True animal lovers look at their pets as their children and I fine normally do pick up after them.

I will say as much as my beagle has been in Lowe's, Home Depot, Petco and Petsmart in Arizona, he has never been in a grocery store nor would I ever try to take him inside of one. When we are in N. Y. he only goes in pet stores where they welcome animals.

Did you ever think the s---t you may have stepped in came from a wild animal not a domestic one? I was driving in the fields for the back granstands at Oswego Speedway yesterday when a coyote or fox ran in front of my car, I wonder where that animal goes to the bathroom? You think where ever the mood strikes?

Proud owner of a beagle named Dave who travels cross country with me! An Dve has been to many race tracks in the USA.

Patti

I would be pissed if that would have happened to me. I don't agree that you shouldn't take them to the track.

**** happens though, ya know.
