Andrew Update #14

Andrew is currently in Indiana and has started with the proton radiotherapy treatments. He is coming off of chemo treatment #4 last week in Michigan and had his first round proton radiation yesterday here in Indiana. This is a 5 day a week treatment for 6 weeks that our hopes are will shrink the tumor to almost nothing. He seems to be handling it rather well with some fussiness but overall still is kind of playful.

I mentioned in an earlier update that the protocol that my son and daughter-in-law had chosen was rather lengthy. This is week #8 of 51 weeks so the road is still very long. We are very encouraged by the results thus far and remain optimistic that this will continue.

With this week being Thanksgiving, I would be remiss if I didn't say thank you again to everyone for your encouragement, well wishes and prayers. We have been blown away with the response from so many people, many of whom we don't even know. The last 12 weeks have really been a remarkable trip and I appreciate everyone who has joined in Andrew's journey. Our family has so much to be thankful for. I hope you can say the same thing. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'll give Landon an extra hug for Andrew. He is coming south on Thursday and allowing his parents to come along.

Mike, we are all thankful for what God has done with Andrew thus far and we continue to pray for His continued healing of him. And thank you for taking the time to keep us informed.
