I apologize if this was already posted. POWRI has announced their winter indoor series for DuQuoin. There are three dates for the midgets and the MicroSprints. THe dates are Jan. 19, Feb. 16 and March 29, 2008. Assuming you can afford the drive down, it should be a good series.

Just wondering, does anybody know what these races each pay to win, and what is the total purse per race? Will they crown an indoor champion?

Glad they are finally getting the full on slaught mibgets going during the winter time there!:thumb: We'll at least hit one of them. Just a short 140 miles away from home. The racing on Labor Day weekend was pretty good.

Does anyone know if the 1200 are still running or did the midgets replace them?

This is unofficial, but I think the midgets will pay $2000 to win. BTW, this is real legitimate indoor midget racing with legal cars.......

I hope these are afternoon shows. Four of us attended all of the Sunday afternoon programs, but we don't particularly relish driving back late at night, especially with all the deer that cavort along the area highways.

The POWRi is hoping to get a special section up on their website soon on Special Events like the "Duquoin Winter Series" . This will help everyone with their questions regarding the event and give them all the info they need to get ready for the Special events.
