Fairfax Road Bloomington, IN, 47401 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) US ARMY RECRUITERS NIGHT AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY JUNE 5TH Bloomington, IN- MAY 31, 2009- Racing action resumes this Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway, as the Safety-Kleen Sprint Cars, O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds, and the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stocks make up the program. The Battle of the Super Stocks (BOSS) Series will roll into town, bringing some extra competition to our normally ultra-competitive Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock racers at the Bloomington Speedway. Jeremy Hines of Seymour, IN claimed both BOSS Series events last season. The Safey-Kleen Sprint Cars will run for $1,400 to win, O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds for $600 to win, and the Tire and Wheel Center Super Stocks will run for $600 to win. Recruiters from the United States Army will be on hand with giveways and activites for the fans. In previous action, Chris Windom of Canton, IL claimed the victory in the $2,500 to win King of Indiana Sprint Series main event. In O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified action, Matt Bex of Avoca, IN picked up his first victory of the season. Clayton Perry of North Vernon, IN claimed his very first Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock feature win at the Bloomington Speedway. Brady Short leads the points standings in the Safety-Kleen Sprint Cars by 11 points over Jeff Bland, Jr. Brent Beauchamp, Jon Sciscoe, and Scott Hampton round out the top five. Only 18 points seperate the top five in O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified points, as Kent Robinson leads Josh Eads, Clint DeMoss, Matt Bex, and John DeMoss. Troy Clark continues to lead the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock points standings by 13 points over Clayton Perry. Brad Cummings, Lee Hobbs, and Tom Ault round out the top five Hoosier Auto Racing Fan Club (HARF) members will get into the Bloomington Speedway for 1/2 price general admission with a valid membership card. Pit Gates open at 4:30 p.m., Grandstands 5:30 p.m., Hot Laps 6:30 p.m., Racing at 7:30 p.m. Kids 12 & Under FREE general admission with paid adult, General Admission $12, Pit Admission $25.
