I put a post here a few days ago and I mentioned my one and only trip to ASCOT. Does anyone know for sure what happened to the property? I have heard a 100 different things, Ranging from nothing there to a hospital being there.
Some of the pics of Thompson, Jones, Olivero and others BACKING IT IN were some of the best shots ever! |

Last time I was out there it was a failed development project that had occupied the track property for a number of years. I was told years later, the track had been replaced by commercial buildings and paved over for parking, and there are no visible remnants left.

Well I was by there today. It is a big lot with a lot of cars that are being auctioned off. From Vermont there is no remenants left of the track. From the 11o freeway you can see pieces of the old back side fence not allowing you to go into the water runnoff, or as we in California say the riverbed.
