KISS SERIES ROLLS INTO BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY MAY 29TH

BLOOMINGTON, IND.-May 22nd- Fans in the state of Indiana, a well known hotbed for Non Winged Sprint Car racing, have always debated on who was the best driver. In 2001 promoters within the state of Indiana decided to put together a mini-series known as the "King of Indiana Sprint Series, which consists of six different tracks in the state of Indiana. A points fund was established, giving drivers something to shoot for at the end of the points chase. Four time, and defending, KISS Series champion Jon Stanbrough currently finds himself sitting outside the top five in points. Stanbrough, the series leader in wins (14), finds himself coming off of a 14th place finish at Lawrenceburg and will be looking for improvement this Friday night. This event will pay $2,500 to win and $250 to start, with the B-Main paying a minimum of $100 to start courtesy of Indiana Stone Works of Bedford, IN. The Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stocks will be racing for $600 to win, and the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds will be in action for $700 to win.

In previous action on Friday May 22nd, Brady Short picked up the win in the Safety Kleen Sprint Car division over Chad Boat. The O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified feature would see Kent Robinson claim his second straight win over Clint Demoss. In Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock action, Jack Frye picked up a hard fought win over Alan Magner.

In points standings, Brady Short currently holds a four point advantage over Jeff Bland, Jr. Scott Hampton, Ty Deckard, and Brent Beauchamp rounds out the top five. The Tire and Wheel Center Super Stock points sees Troy Clark with a 17 point advantage over Brad Cummings in second. Clayton Perry, Jack Frye, and Gerald Todd complete the top five. In O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified points, Kent Robinson holds a slim seven point advantage over Clint Demoss. Josh Eads sits third, with John DeMoss and Matt Bex tied for fifth.
