I have three choices to work with.

1. IMS on Saturday. (250 miles RT and $10 admission)

2. MSCS Florence Saturday. (60 miles RT and $15 admission)

3. IMS Sunday. (250 miles RT and $10 admission)

I'd like to see them all, but I only have enough jack for one of these events.

The dreaded precip may have a bearing on one or all of these shows.

What do you think I should do?

2. with all the rain forecasted, closer and if it does get rained out, you are not so bummed and then have to drive a long distance.

3) the weather forecast is better for Sunday and if they dont qualify anyone on Saturday it should be quite a day plus if you can pony up another $12 it leads to option 4, Kokomo on Sunday night

Likin' the Kokomo idea, but it's 160+ miles to drive home and then get up Monday morn at 4 A.M. for work.

Stay home this weekend and watch Indy on TV, & watch "The All-Star" race. Save the jack from this weekend and put it with next weeks jingle and go into Memorial Day weekend with a big stack and several better choices. :2:

Kind of leaning that way, but I live about 15 miles as the crow flies from the track and the weather right now is 50/50 rain chance.

Wait and see, the forecast could change for the better. Indianapolis forecast discussion from NOAA
FRI NT-SAT NT...S/W AND COLD FNT MV THRU THE FA. DIFFERENCE IN TIMING
OF COLD FROPA WITH GFS ABOUT 6 HOURS OR SO FASTER THAN THE NAM AND
HAVING IT MOSTLY THRU BY 12Z. NAM SEEMS TO HAVE SUPPORT OF 0Z ECMWF
AND GFSENS BUT GFS HAS SUPPORT OF SREF. HPC SUGGESTS LARGER
CONSENSUS AROUND NAM. WITH ALL THIS IN MIND WL LEAN TOWARD NAM AND
FCST SIMILAR TO PREVIOUS ISSUANCE WITH HIGH CHC POPS FRI NT...LIKELY
POPS SAT AND CHC SE TO SLT CHC NW SAT NT.
Looks like rain till noon with one model, rain till 6am with another. They are all just guessing based on computer models, seams like the best forecast is looking out the window and checking the radar.
My plans are to hit IMS Saturday, unless of course the radar looks to be a wash when I check it Saturday AM, then possibly hit Florence or Twin Cities in the evening.
