So let's say the weather is actually GREAT this year...

What's your guess on the car count? Will '09 be a bit of a come back from '08?

30 cars? more, less?

With the way things are I would not bet on more than 20 but hope for 30. The silvercrown div is hurting I know of 5 cars that are staying home that were planning on running there just isn't enough money to race and put food on the table. This economy is taking its toll on people.

Hoping for 30, but in the old days only 18 started the show. I just hope for enough for a decent field. As for the economy, Anderson only had 17 or 18 cars. Sprint week may have some small car counts.

Hate to hear this...but understand the economy and the toll it's taking...

What I don't understand is how late model shows can pay 20k to win with less fans in the stands that would be at the fairgrounds that night. How have Silver Crown winning remained the same for so many years?

Late Model races that pay that much usually have a big sponsor or a lot of sponsors of the race. That just ain't there with the Silver Crowns

I'll guess 25.75.
That was the average for the 4 midwest dirt races that actually ran last season.
