Duke, I doubt WalWart will ever have something that nice for sale, let alone have their name on one, altho I did see that name on a Tintop, either Friday, or Saturday. That was when racing was built from the ground up, no two cars, or ideas alike, everyone built and driven by a dream! Bob

super Duke drove my sprinter a few times in the 70s . for the first 5 laps you couldn't beat him, then he was tired out!! He was a fun guy in the pits full of B. S :greenflag:. .If you see him tell him Seb says hey, and I , still think we, need a humper on the right side !!!

That is Seb Balistreri that Duke drove for in the 70's. I believe he was out of Wisconsin at the time.
Was that the car he bought from Ray Smith or the one before that Duke ?
Axe, that is Tingey in it, good eye. I was just over to a friends house the other day and seen one of Bud's old helmets. We had a pretty good discussion about Bud. When he had the Dayton Racing Associates car, I sold the individual sponsorships ( $5.00 a piece) in my hometown. You got a picture of the car autographed by Bud that said you were a sponsor of the Dayton Racing Associates Special.
Bud and Dee gave me one of there team jackets and I still have it 45 years later.

Axe, Seb showed up at all the USAC races. I believe the car was #45, but I could be wrong about that. I know Duke drove it and I remember Vogler being in the car and having some serious steering issues. I believe that might even be talked about in the Vogler book. He bought the second car he ran in USAC off of Ray Smith.
Come to think about it, Seb, might have started USAC in the late 60's. Duke would know for sure.
