The infield tunnel will be open for all races this year. The reason for the tunnel flooding was discovered at the end of the season last year. There was a water main break on the fairgrounds property and it was backing up through the drains in the tunnel causing it to flood.

Are they going to pit in the infield again this year? My grandkids would love to be in the infield and get to see the cars and drivers up close.:applaud:

Barney, I am planning on taking Sam into the infield for the MSCS race. I think he will like being so close to the cars and drivers also.

Pitting on the infield is something that will happen as long as Mike King is there.*
*as long as they have enough room for everyone.
As for the tunnel, as Joe said, a water main was broke under the property. It will be open.

Pitting in the infield made me smile last year. Brought back the old days
at Terre Haute. I'll be at the MSCS race in early May.
Best Regards,
John
the info that is being given the the mscs drivers is that they are going to pit in the infield

Ok, I have a question about the infield. Where is the tunnel located from the main grandstand? Just wonderin how much of a hike it'll be. Thanks.
