In 1950 & 1952 Jack McGrath won 100 mile races on the Syracuse Mile. Jack was driving a "Hinkle Spl." Champ Car in each race. At the 2008 Tony Bettenhausen 100 a "Hinkle Spl." toured the Springfield Mile. I have to admit, it sends a chill down my spine every time I watch one of these grand ole' historic open wheelers take a tour around any race track. :Steer

Sadly - Jack McGrath was killed at the 1955 season ending AAA Champ Car race in Phoenix.
