for those of you in the indy area dave wilson was partners with :dologob: back in the day. he is a big racing supporter and always plugs racing on his show all the time.......this really sucks!!!!!

Agree. He is a real friend to racing in general and to John Andretti in particular. 1070 The Fan needs to snatch him up post haste and get him back on the air waves!

He posts on a semi-regular basis on Track Forum.

I am sure Dave won't be out of work for very long, he is far to knowledgable about Indy and motorsports to be sitting on the sidelines. OH and I almost forgot, he is an elvis impersonator too! haha

Emmis is in big trouble. A couple years ago, they sold all thier tv stations to raise thier stock price.....aftermath, it kept plunging. Now they have nothing left to sell but radio stations. When I sold all my Emmis Stock, the price was 16 dollars a share. Today it is trading at .27 cents a share and on the verge of being delisted. The CEO of Emmis told the managers of the stations they own in a conference call when asked about the company going employee owned he said , "go ahead and then if you want you can fire me if you want". Seems like someone who really doesn't care about his company and only cares about the dollar. Another reason Emmis is in trouble, Ipods, mp3 players and sat. radio. Why would you want to listen to the radio when you could listen to songs you want to listen to whenever you want and not when the radio station might play them. I have quite a few friends who work for Emmis and it sucks for them.

BTW, www.emmissucks.com been up for a while, made by a former Emmis Employee.

That's too bad. I've spent many an afternoon driving around our state, being entertained by The King, Big Joe, Matthew B Hiblin (sp?), John Andretti and everybody else that was a regular part of that show. They'll be missed. Steve Simpson doesn't have the personality to replace The King.

The best interview was Billy P. when he was maybe 16 and they asked him what the girle like about him at Brownsburg and he said that he could lick his eye brow with his tongue....Bring back Racin with D.O.and the King:dologob::cheers
