It is truly sad to know that an American icon, like Paul Harvey is gone. I turned the radio up every time I would hear the announcer say "And now, Paul Harvey news and commentary". His stories were like Norman Rockwell paintings, set to words.

Many major radio markets had dropped him in the past year, but I managed to find him and listen to him everyday on WITZ in Jasper, IN. I will truly miss him and his unique style.

His son took over for awhile a couple years back and then I lost him earlier this year but still caught him on some other stations when traveling. You could tell some wind was gone from his sails. Gooooday Paul. RIP

I remember thinking less than a year ago when I heard the news of his wife passing away on his first day of retirement that he wouldn't be too far behind. Unfortunately I was closer to being right than I had expected.
