It was a great meeting.
05/16/09 Rush County Fairgrounds (50 Lap Feature) Salute to the Hall of Fame
This race is a minimum 200 to start and 750 to win. Could be the biggest TQ race ever.

I thought the meeting went well, Gary Lee did a good job, as usual, of putting forth the goals, and the vision of the new TQ League. Mark explained some questions about the driver Insurance, and the dollar amount of coverage, at no added cost to the participants, procedures were explained, as well as the schedule, and the payoffs to the drivers. Several teams were present, and especially some new to TQ racing. This may well be a turning point in TQ midget racing, offering an opportunity to not only boost the number of teams, but also expand the payout, and bring it more in line with the cost of owning and racing a TQ midget. Times change, people change, and ideas change, to move into this 21st century, lots of subtle changes must be made, to advance and move into this new century. Good luck to all, and thanks to those who are working with their hearts, to make this new league a part of tradition in TQ racing. Bob

Some one please tell me they are doing away with the 45" center to center wheel measurements?
Just go end to end measurement and be done.
Glad to hear the meeting went well. :-)

Jon, can't say that's in the works, never understood why that is such a problem anyway, it's simple, and maybe that's what makes it difficult. Anyway, I think if you'll read the rules a bit closer, I believe it leaves it up to the DOC to make it 47", if he feels it's a safety issue, rough or extremely tight track. It's really never been an issue, as far as I'm concerned, as long as we know what it is, that's all that's necessary. Bob
