While enjoying my first ever trip to Eastern Storm, I’m struck by a pattern out here that makes me fear for their future. I’ve been able to carry a cooler with beer in every track, even Bridgeport which is in the most heavily regulated state in the country I’m told. I hope they wise up and get like Indiana so they can pay better and have a bright future

I sure hope you are being sarcastic. Two things about PA, don't mess with our racing, don't mess with our beer.

It has been enjoyable. Bring in your favorite beverage and enjoy a hot sandwich. A good balance from this fan's perspective.

Saw y'all across the parking lot but couldn't break away from the tail gate buffet Mike had set up. Very enjoyable evening, even with my no passing in the USAc heats. The rest of the show was great .Really looking forward to Port tomorrow.

Groves crowd wasn't too good and there was weather threat all day. Track was wet and really only had one groove until mid feature.
That being said, They ran if they could and I thank them.

I'm now convinced passing is illegal in Pennsylvania!

Indiana tracks by law cannot sell alcohol, and allow it to be carried in. It creates a tough call for promoters. Hardcore fans like to bring coolers, but you need more than the hardcore fans to survive. Most people who have never been, expect to be able to buy it like they do at other events they go to. I have never really cared about what the rules are as I can adapt. We need more new faces at tracks for the sport to survive. If walking to my car during the support class to go to my cooler helps. I really don't mind.
I did think that the crowds looked a little light. I remember Grandview was packed the 5 times I was there. I ran into a guy at Putnamville at MidgetWeek. I hadn't seen him in 3 years. He told me he very seldom goes to the races anymore since he got Flo. I know that doesn't mean that everyone does that, but I guarantee a few do that. |
