Sorry to highjack the thread here but any Schrader story is worth an off topic stray from original topic.
Schrader at age 67 still winning heat races and being competitive. Great stuff for one of the best ever on dirt. Kenny was a NASCAR star in the making on bias ply Goodyear tires but never could quite adapt to the new radial NASCAR tires. Had the pleasure of working for him on early open wheel stuff and a lifelong friend. We took an inferior car to a World of Outlaw show at I-70 speedway in 1984 and led the feature for quite a while and finished third. After the race he says to me "come up here and look at this cushion going into turn one. I couldn't make speed putting the right rear into cushion with lack of horsepower so I figured out where to hit the rear bumper on the wall to make speed" LOL. I-70 back then was super high banked 1/2 mile like Bristol used to be.
