I hope that they decide to make the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE a permanent part of all opening ceremonies. Racers are, by nature, patriotic. In these times it is seriously needed.

I understand everything that ESPN (/ABC) has turned into, but as a simple turn the Cable "TV" on or walk into a public place and ask them to find the channel, I actly would much prefer an ESPN family network over newer off-shoot stuff...whatever its on and no matter what time, I'll try to find a way to watch. Pretty much that and the Indy 500 are the only two that I schedule to be around a TV at the time its aired. I guess I'll even throw this Sunday evening dirt race into that as well...I like the time frame (could be even later for me) and the fact that its on after most are done with Holiday activity on that day.

Have you bought a ticket, parking, concessions at the Indy 500, Daytona 500, NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA FB & BB, you name it. What once was a sport becomes an "Entertainment Event". The losers are us. Take note, Chili Bowl 2023 and Chili Bowl 2033.
