So basically, You can run up to four non WoO races with no detriment to full championship points and bonuses.
Up to eight non WoO and suffer a 25% cut in points payout. Over eight and you cannot run for championship points. This also comes with a within 48hr and 100 miles clause of any WoO event. David Gravel yesterday said he wasn't certain of running full time WoO for 2023 yet.

$350k to win the points plus an opportunity to run 4 High Limit shows? Who would turn that down if you had a realistic shot at the championship?

Keep in mind the first two days of the Kings Royal aren’t sanctioned by WoO. And the timing and location falls within the 48hr/100 mile rule on both sides because the Doty is on Tuesday.
Let’s see where this goes…. So essentially if they are able to run the two races prior to the Kings Royal then they would only get 2 High Limits races. This is becoming a big game of high stakes poker. Who blinks first. I think this is the first domino being built to fall at a later date. |
